Brinsley Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, vegan charity based in Brinsley, Nottingham. Founded in 2007 by Jon Beresford and Bethan Hewis, the sanctuary rescues and cares for pets, farm animals, and wildlife, aiming to rehome or release them whenever possible. The charity operates without paid staff, with all land, buildings, and utilities donated by the founders. Every penny raised—around £150,000 annually—goes directly to animal care. The sanctuary spans two nearby sites, covering 22 acres, including a dedicated wildlife hospital and facilities for farm animals.
